Big Break x Good Good Canceled
Golf Channel canceled the filmed 2026 season before it aired. Meet the 12 contestants and see why its intended PGA Tour pathway collapsed.
What Is Big Break x Good Good?
Big Break x Good Good was filmed as the planned 24th season of Golf Channel’s Big Break reality competition and the franchise’s first new season since 2015. Twelve male golfers completed the competition at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Texas, but Golf Channel canceled the unaired season on August 27, 2026, after its intended PGA Tour exemption could no longer be fulfilled.
Big Break x Good Good 2026 Cast
The cast combines Good Good members, touring professionals, a world long-drive competitor, an adaptive-golf champion, a former PGA Tour caddie, and players who built careers through mini-tours, Monday qualifiers and creator golf.
How Fletcher Babcock Won the Big Break Qualifier
Fletcher Babcock earned the 12th and final cast position by winning the first Big Break Qualifier at Horseshoe Bay Resort. The three-player competition matched Babcock against California professional Murphy Scott and Indiana Golf Galaxy associate Nick Bienz.
Babcock arrived with a recent tournament victory already on his résumé. At the 2025 Rhode Island Open, he finished 5 under alongside Will Frodigh and Brandon Valvano before winning the three-player playoff with a birdie on the first extra hole.
Hosts, Reporter and Non-Playing Captains
| Person | Role | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| Blair O’Neal | Co-host | Two-time Big Break contestant and winner of Big Break Dominican Republic |
| Wells Adams | Co-host | Reality television personality and co-host of Golf Channel’s Vanity Index |
| Matt Scharff | Reporter and interviewer | Good Good Golf member providing interviews and on-course insight |
| Brad Dalke | Non-playing captain | Professional and creator golfer whose separate tournament invitation was announced before the sponsorship change |
| Tom “Bubbie” Broders | Non-playing captain | Good Good member known for trick shots and creator-golf competition |
Is Brad Dalke Playing on Big Break?
No. Brad Dalke served as a non-playing team captain, not one of the 12 contestants. A separate sponsor exemption for Dalke had been announced before Good Good withdrew from the PGA Tour event; its current status has not been publicly clarified.
The contestant team assignments were not included in the official preseason material reviewed for this guide and are not assigned here.
How Big Break x Good Good Works
The filmed season combined classic Big Break skills tests with elimination competitions, including the signature Glass Break and Flop Wall challenges. Because the season was canceled before airing, the episode-by-episode results remain undisclosed.
The 12 golfers were divided into two teams led by Dalke and Broders. Golf Channel had also promoted an additional format twist without publicly explaining it.
Why Big Break x Good Good Was Canceled
Status: Golf Channel canceled the entire unaired season on August 27, 2026. The previously announced September 1 premiere will not occur.
The network said the intended outcome of the series could no longer be fulfilled after Good Good stepped away as title sponsor of the connected PGA Tour event. That tournament remains scheduled for November 12–15 in Austin under the temporary name Austin Championship.

What opportunity followed the cancellation?
On 10-08-2026, Monday Q Info’s Ryan French and Player Development Solutions announced the PDI Professional Golf Combine after seeking a new opportunity for players affected by the cancellation. Big Break contestants Fletcher Babcock, Peter Lansburgh, Velten Meyer, Jesse Rouse and Mike Sweeney joined the filmed event, which offers guaranteed appearance fees, more than $50,000 in prizes and data-driven player assessments. Broadcast details had not yet been announced.
Can You Watch Big Break x Good Good?
No regular episode aired before the cancellation, and Golf Channel has not announced an alternate streaming release, delayed broadcast or re-edited version. Preseason contestant profiles and promotional features may remain available, but they are not the completed competition.
Golf Channel said it expects the Big Break franchise to return in 2027. That statement refers to the franchise—not a future release of the canceled Good Good season.
What Happened to the Winner’s PGA Tour Opportunity?
The original prize package included more than $180,000 in cash and prizes plus an invitation into the PGA Tour’s Good Good Championship. Golf Channel said the intended outcome could no longer be fulfilled after Good Good withdrew as title sponsor, which is why the network could not complete the season as planned.

From Big Break to Creator Golf and the PGA Tour
Big Break x Good Good sits at the intersection My9Iron already covers: competitive professionals, YouTube golf and the growing number of creator events offering meaningful tournament opportunities.
Brad Dalke: Non-Playing Captain
Dalke did not compete for the season’s intended exemption because a separate invitation into the November PGA Tour event had already been announced. The status of that invitation has not been publicly clarified since Good Good withdrew its sponsorship. Read the full Brad Dalke bio or see his documented Brad Dalke WITB.
Wesley Bryan: Big Break Alumnus to PGA Tour Winner
Wesley Bryan competed on Big Break The Palm Beaches in 2015. He did not win the season, but he later won three times on the Web.com Tour in 2016 and captured the 2017 RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour. His career is one example of a Big Break alumnus turning television exposure and high-level golf into success beyond the show.
Why Good Good Is Involved
Good Good grew from a YouTube golf group into a broader media, apparel and live-event company. Its partnership with Golf Channel connects Big Break’s original television audience with modern creator golf. For the business and people behind the brand, see Who Owns Good Good Golf?
