Who Owns Good Good Golf?
Garrett Clark is a co-founder and its most recognizable face — but he’s not the CEO, and he doesn’t own the company outright.
Good Good Golf Ownership at a Glance
Who Owns Good Good Golf?
Good Good is privately held and its ownership isn’t publicly disclosed. Garrett Clark remains a co-founder and the company’s leading on-camera creator. On September 2, 2026, Matt Kendrick stepped down as CEO and president Joe Flannery parted ways with the company. Nahid Giga became interim CEO effective immediately. Exact ownership percentages for any individual founder or investor have not been made public.
How Good Good Actually Formed
Good Good formed in 2020 after Garrett Clark connected with Matt Kendrick at a golf tournament. Kendrick had experience building the Googan Squad creator model in fishing, and the two saw an opportunity to apply a similar content-and-commerce structure to golf. Institutional materials — including a Sunflower Bank client case study — identify Matthew Kendrick, Garrett Clark, Matt Scharff, Stephen Castaneda, Max Putnam, and Colin Ross as the company’s founders, with Micah Morris part of the original on-camera group and naming discussion.
Early name ideas reportedly included Bogey Boys, Birdie Boys, and The Sandbaggers, before Kendrick proposed “Good Good” — a golf expression he’d held onto since college.
Who Leads Good Good After Matt Kendrick?
Garrett Clark remains a co-founder and Good Good’s leading on-camera creator, not its sole owner or chief executive. On September 2, 2026, Kendrick stepped down as CEO and Flannery chose to part ways with the company. A staff memo reviewed by Business Insider named Nahid Giga interim CEO effective immediately and described him as a Good Good co-founder and one of its first investors. Exact ownership percentages remain undisclosed.
Clark did not take over the company during the leadership transition. The memo said he and the creator team would continue making content and engaging fans, while Giga assumed interim leadership and COO/CFO Alex Puchala continued overseeing day-to-day operations.
The $45 Million Funding Round
In March 2025, Good Good announced a $45 million funding round led by Creator Sports Capital — a newly formed investment firm founded by Benjamin Grubbs and Brian Kabot — with participation from Manhattan West Private Equity, Sunflower Bank, and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, plus more than 50 additional investors. Kendrick publicly declined to disclose the company’s resulting valuation while serving as CEO.
Important distinction: $45 million raised is not the same thing as a $45 million valuation. Some coverage has blurred that line — this page won’t repeat that mistake. The round is meant to fund expansion across content, retail, and live experiences, building on a company that had already grown to more than 1.75 million YouTube subscribers across its channels before the raise.
Good Good’s planned expansion into mainstream golf media changed sharply in August 2026. After the company withdrew as title sponsor of its connected PGA Tour event, Golf Channel canceled the already-filmed Big Break x Good Good season on August 27 because the winner’s intended tournament exemption could no longer be fulfilled.
