Brad Dalke Picked Bat for YGT Stop 2
Batibasaga’s biggest current creator-golf storyline is Your Golf Tour. Brad Dalke selected him as Team Brad’s wildcard for Stop 2 at Rams Hill Golf Club in California, revealed in the August 31, 2026 episode on Grant Horvat Golf.
The selection gives Bat a new competitive platform after the cancellation of Big Break x Good Good. Team Brad finished the Episode 1 front nine at 8 under, one shot ahead of Team Wesley when the video ended.

Selected for Big Break Before the Season Was Canceled
Batibasaga was selected as one of 12 golfers for Big Break x Good Good, filmed at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Texas. The project was scheduled to premiere in August 2026 but was postponed and ultimately canceled before the season aired.
Because the competition did not air, My9Iron does not claim a winner, elimination order or any unaired result. Bat’s Big Break selection remains part of his 2026 story, but YGT is now the active competitive storyline.
Back-to-Back Fiji Open Champion
Batibasaga won the Fiji Open outright as an amateur in 2005 and successfully defended the championship in 2006. Historical winner lists record him as the tournament champion rather than the winner of a separate amateur flight.
He also won the 2007 Queensland Amateur Championship and later represented Australia in the 2011 Nomura Cup in Fiji alongside Cameron Smith, Jake Higginbottom and Daniel Bringolf.
Batibasaga’s Professional Golf Career
After turning professional, Batibasaga competed in Australia and pursued opportunities in Britain through developmental tours. His official international player records commonly appear under Rika Batibasaga.
One notable opportunity began when he shot 62 in pre-qualifying for an Australian PGA Championship. During tournament practice, Darren Clarke noticed his ball-striking and brought him to the attention of manager Chubby Chandler, helping open opportunities for Bat to compete in Britain.
Jason Day’s Childhood Friend and Winning Caddie
Batibasaga and Jason Day have known each other since junior golf in Australia. Their friendship later extended to the PGA Tour and creator golf.
Bat filled in as Day’s caddie during the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, where Day defeated Alex Norén in a playoff. Batibasaga also caddied during Day’s runner-up finish at Pebble Beach and accompanied him at the 2018 Masters.

Batibasaga is part of The Lads, a creator-golf group built around longtime friends and high-level players. The group’s content has included Jason Day, Ryan Ruffels, Jeg Coughlin and Luke Reardon, with Bat becoming one of its most recognizable personalities.
Grass League
Bat has remained competitively active in the United States. Playing for the Los Angeles Roses, he tied for third with Marty Sanchez at the 2025 Grass Clippings Open, where the pair finished 15 under. He was also rostered for later Grass League competition.

A July 2025 Lads WITB video documented TaylorMade P7TW irons from 6-iron through pitching wedge with Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts and JumboMax grips, along with a TaylorMade MG4 52-degree wedge with a Project X Rifle 6.5 shaft.
By 2026, Bat’s public equipment content featured Avoda Origin Curved irons. These are dated observations rather than a claim about a complete present-day bag.
