A Modern Driver With Trusted Fairway Woods
Thomas paired a 9-degree GTS2 driver with a Ventus TR Black 6 X shaft. The photographed alternatives behind it included a TaylorMade BRNR mini driver, a Titleist TS3 3-wood and a Titleist 915Fd 5-wood.
The older fairway-wood heads reflect Thomas’s preference for proven clubs. Because more than 14 clubs were photographed, the exact long-club combination should be treated as course dependent.
Three Titleist Iron Designs From 4 Through 9
The photographed setup combined a T200 4-iron, T100 5-iron and custom 621.JT prototypes from 6 through 9. Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts ran through the entire iron section.
The 621.JT blades were created around Thomas’s preferred shaping and remain the centerpiece of his iron setup.
Four Scoring Lofts With Two Lob-Wedge Options
Thomas’s photographed SM11 wedges were adjusted to 47.5, 52.5, 57 and 60.5 degrees. A WedgeWorks 60-K* bent to the same 60.5-degree loft was also photographed as an alternate lob-wedge configuration.
The 47.5-degree wedge used an X100 shaft, while the higher-lofted wedges used Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400.
Phantom Prototype Putter and Pro V1x
Thomas used a Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5 Prototype with a SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol Tour grip. His photographed golf ball was the Titleist Pro V1x, and his full-swing clubs used Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grips.
