Are They Related?
Yes — Micah Morris and Garrett Clark are cousins. That relationship predates both of their golf content careers and is how Morris ended up joining Clark’s GM Golf channel around 2019, before Good Good existed.
How the Connection Started
Morris didn’t grow up playing competitive junior golf — he picked up the game around age 17, learning by hitting balls across a pasture on his family’s farm in Coyle, Oklahoma. Garrett Clark, his cousin, was already building a golf-content following through his GM Golf channel. Around 2019, Morris reconnected with Clark professionally and joined the channel full-time.
Clark has spoken about the family tie directly. In a 2024 profile of Good Good’s early years, Clark contrasted how he handled Morris’s eventual 2022 departure from Good Good compared to Grant Horvat’s: “he’s my cousin, so I could deal with it,” he said, describing Horvat’s exit as the one that hurt more.
From GM Golf to Good Good
Morris was part of the original group that discussed and selected the Good Good name when the channel formed in 2020, making the cousin relationship part of the brand’s founding story, not just a footnote. Morris was also several years older than most of the group and, unlike most members, was already married and working toward competitive pro golf — a different life stage than his cousin’s, even while building the same channel together.
The two remained connected through Good Good’s growth until Morris left in November 2022. Read the full story of his departure →
