Qi4D LS Driver and Two Low-Spin Fairway Woods

Morikawa won with an 8-degree TaylorMade Qi4D LS driver. TaylorMade documented a 45⅛-inch build with a Diamana D+ 60 TX shaft, one inch of tipping, D3 swingweight and Golf Pride Z Cord grip.

He paired the driver with 15- and 18-degree Qi4D Tour fairway woods using heavier Diamana D+ 80 TX shafts. The 3-wood was built to 42⅞ inches and D3 swingweight, according to TaylorMade’s winning-WITB report.

Three Iron Models Built for Specific Jobs

Morikawa’s winning iron setup blended three TaylorMade models. A PDHY filled the 4-iron position, P7CB heads covered the 5- and 6-irons, and compact P730 blades ran from 7-iron through pitching wedge.

Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts connected the complete iron progression. The blend gave him added launch in the longest iron, stability in the middle and the compact shaping he prefers in his scoring clubs.

MG5 Wedges, Spider Tour X and TP5

Three TaylorMade MG5 wedges at 50, 56 and 60 degrees completed the scoring end of the bag. Each used a Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft.

Morikawa won with a Spider Tour X putter originally built for fellow PGA Tour player Kurt Kitayama. He completed the setup with the 2026 TaylorMade TP5 golf ball.

When a 9-Wood Can Replace the 4-Iron

The Pebble Beach winning bag used the PDHY 4-iron and totals exactly 14 clubs. At other tournaments, Morikawa has tested or carried a 9-wood when course conditions call for a higher-launching club in the 220-to-225-yard range.

Important: The 9-wood is a course-dependent alternative, not part of this documented 14-club winning setup.
