Luke Kwon Bio
The former pro who found a bigger audience on YouTube than he ever had on tour — and who now owns a piece of a league he still plays in.
Luke Kwon at a Glance
From Tour Pro to Content Creator
“I’m here on YouTube because I’m a failed pro golfer.” Kwon says that about himself, on camera, without flinching. He was good enough to play Division I golf at Oklahoma — All-Big 12 and All-American honors — and good enough to win the 2019 Qinhuangdao Championship on PGA Tour China and earn a Korn Ferry Tour card. He couldn’t take the next step from there, and by 2022 the dream of a PGA Tour card was over.
He joined Good Good in August 2022 and became one of the most recognizable faces in the group before announcing his departure in April 2024 to build his own channel.

The 2022 Golf Cart Accident
Before any of his YouTube success, Kwon was playing in a University of Oklahoma alumni tournament in 2022 when a golf cart accident left him hitting his head on a bridge railing. He finished the remaining seven holes before going to the hospital at his girlfriend’s urging. A CT scan revealed roughly a quarter of his brain was bleeding.
It’s the kind of moment that reframes everything else about him — the guy who doesn’t take YouTube golf too seriously nearly lost far more than a tee time three years later.
The Creator Classic Breakthrough
Four months after leaving Good Good, Kwon won the inaugural PGA Tour Creator Classic at East Lake Golf Club — the same course that hosts the Tour Championship — in front of more than 110,000 people watching live on the PGA Tour’s own YouTube channel. He beat Wesley Bryan, Sean Walsh, and Roger Steele in a sudden-death playoff, birdieing the par-5 18th to win it.
“I WON the 2024 Creator Classic (What they didn’t show you)” — his own recap of the win, August 2024.
The Internet Invitational
In August 2025, at Barstool’s Internet Invitational, Kwon overslept and missed his own tee time by eight minutes, leaving his partner PFT Commenter to play a two-man scramble alone. It became one of the most talked-about storylines in creator golf that year.
“The FULL Luke Kwon Saga” — Internet Invitational’s own channel, Feb 2026. Every hole, from the storyline that defined his 2025.
His channel’s own description sums up the approach that followed: “Not everyone is supposed to enjoy my videos.” Comfortable laughing at himself even when the internet isn’t — that’s about as accurate a read on him as any.
Two Leagues in 2026
Kwon is playing in two active creator golf leagues at once. He’s a team owner and player for Team Luke in Peoples League, a franchise-model creator league expanding to 12 teams in 2026. He was also drafted to Team Grant — alongside Grant Horvat, Sam Heung Min, and Chance Taylor — for the first season of Your Golf Tour (YGT), which ends in a $1 million individual championship at Wynn Las Vegas.
