George strained his left oblique roughly five days before filming. A tour therapist named Brandon worked on him for two consecutive days at the group’s Airbnb so he could attempt the round. His swing speed was visibly reduced — he estimated his usual swing speed around 120 and said he wasn’t sure it would reach that mark during this round.

A young local golfer named Carter, who said he’d been playing golf for 10 years and grew up playing Sahalee as his home course, was invited to play hole 10 with the group. He also returned for the closing par-5 on hole 18, where he made a birdie.

A club member confronted Wesley about a drop he took on the par-3 5th hole during a prior visit roughly 14 months earlier, calling it an illegal drop. Wesley maintained there were no yellow or red stakes marking the hazard at the time. On this round, a red line had since been painted there, and Wesley took a two-club-length drop from the line to satisfy watching members.
