Who Is Ryo Hisatsune?
Ryo Hisatsune is a Japanese professional golfer whose rise from Japan’s developmental circuit to the PGA Tour took only a few seasons. Born on 09-09-2002 in Okayama, Japan, he turned professional in 2020 and built his reputation through accurate ball-striking, composed scoring and an ability to contend against stronger international fields.
Hisatsune broke through globally at the 2023 Open de France. At 21, he erased a six-stroke final-round deficit at Le Golf National to earn his first DP World Tour title. The victory made him the third Japanese winner in DP World Tour history, following Isao Aoki and Hideki Matsuyama.
