How Tisha Alyn Built Her Own Lane in Golf
In this 04-28-2026 Dan Evans Show interview, Alyn discusses starting golf at three, her family’s move from Illinois to California, the pressure of pursuing professional golf, her move into content and the creation of ALYN Golf.
The Dan Evans Show · 04-28-2026: A first-person account of Alyn’s golf, media and business journey.
From Illinois to California
Alyn has said her father introduced her to golf at age three and that she began competing at seven. She was born in Rockford, grew up partly around Chicago and moved with her family to California in 2005, when she was 11.
She attended Vista Murrieta High School, where she was a four-year first-team all-league golfer, a two-time league MVP and team captain. Her combination of golf and communications interests led to a scholarship opportunity at Cal State Fullerton.
Tisha Alyn at Cal State Fullerton
Alyn competed in every Cal State Fullerton team tournament across her four-year career: 36 events and 106 rounds. Her 75.95 career scoring average was the program record for a four-year player when her college career ended.

Why Tisha Alyn Left Tournament Golf
Alyn turned professional after college and won two mini-tour events during 2016. She has explained that entry fees, travel expenses, injuries and the emotional grind made the traditional tour path difficult to sustain.
Social media provided a different way to remain connected to golf. Alyn eventually chose content and media over continuing to chase full-time tour status. She should therefore be described as a former professional golfer, not a current LPGA Tour player.
Golf, Personality and a Large Social Audience
Alyn’s content combines accomplished golf, humor, dancing, trick shots, instruction and candid storytelling. A public audience snapshot checked on 10-02-2026 showed approximately 1.3 million TikTok followers, 525,000 Instagram followers and 42,300 YouTube subscribers.
Those totals are dated public snapshots rather than permanent figures. Her influence extends beyond follower counts: she has worked as a golf host, created branded media and launched the iHeart Women’s Sports podcast Welcome to the Par-Tee.
In 2026, Golf Monthly included Alyn among 10 women whose leadership, media work and advocacy were helping reshape golf.
Tied Fifth at East Lake
Alyn competed in the 2025 PGA Tour Creator Classic at East Lake and finished tied for fifth at three over par. The result placed her alongside Garrett Clark and connected her with a field that included Brad Dalke, Micah Morris, Sean Walsh, Luke Kwon and Peter Finch.
The event also produced My9Iron’s best equipment evidence for Alyn: GolfWRX photographed and documented her complete 14-club setup. See the dated Tisha Alyn Clubs & Specs snapshot.
Why Tisha Alyn Created ALYN Golf
Alyn launched ALYN Golf in 2025 as a women’s golfwear company developed around women’s movement, fit and style rather than adapting traditional men’s apparel. The company describes its approach as a combination of performance function, fashion and streetwear energy.
ALYN is not simply an endorsement attached to her name. Alyn is the founder and public face of the business, making entrepreneurship a central part of her current golf identity.
Tisha Alyn and Paige Spiranac Revisit Their Golf Journey
In October 2026, Alyn joined Paige Spiranac for an episode connecting their shared junior-golf history, Q-School experiences and eventual transitions away from full-time professional competition.

Authenticity and Inclusion in Golf
Alyn publicly came out in June 2019. She has spoken about reconciling her identity with family expectations, golf’s traditions and the pressure of presenting an incomplete version of herself online.
Her decision became part of a broader public message about authenticity and visibility. My9Iron treats that story as part of her own stated experience—not as speculation about her current private life.
