From South Korea to the PGA Tour

Kim turned professional as a teenager and became the youngest player at the time to graduate from PGA Tour Qualifying School. Because he had not yet reached the Tour’s minimum age, his full PGA Tour opportunity had to wait.

He rebuilt his position through the developmental-tour pathway and earned his first PGA Tour victory at the 2016 Wyndham Championship.

Four PGA Tour Victories

Kim’s defining breakthrough came at the 2017 Players Championship. At 21, he became the youngest winner in tournament history after closing with a bogey-free 69 at TPC Sawgrass.

He later added the 2021 American Express and 2023 Sony Open in Hawaii. Those wins, together with the 2016 Wyndham Championship, give him four PGA Tour titles.

At the CJ Cup, he shot 60 in the second round and finished the week with 33 birdies. He also reached the season-ending Tour Championship, confirming his place among the leading International qualifiers.
