Linn Grant’s Golf Family
Golf runs through Grant’s family. Her grandfather, James Grant, was a Scottish golf professional from Inverness who moved to Sweden. Her father, John, competed on the Swedish Golf Tour and later recorded victories in Swedish senior golf.
The family history produced a remarkable North Berwick connection. James won the Scottish Boys Championship there, and 49 years later Linn won the 2017 Ladies’ British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship on the same course.
Grant joined the Swedish national-team program in 2016. That system, combined with her family background, placed her alongside a generation of Swedish players that included Maja Stark, Ingrid Lindblad and several future professional winners.
Linn Grant’s Amateur Golf Career
Grant helped Sweden win the 2017 European Girls’ Team Championship and was part of three consecutive European Ladies’ Team Championship-winning sides from 2018 through 2020.
Individually, her signature amateur victory came at the 2017 Ladies’ British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at North Berwick. Her international résumé also included the Junior Solheim Cup, the Espirito Santo Trophy, the Vagliano Trophy and the Arnold Palmer Cup.
By the time she turned professional in August 2021, Grant had climbed to No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
Linn Grant at Arizona State
Grant joined Arizona State for the 2019–20 season and earned her first college victory at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in March 2020.
During the spring of 2021, she won the Sun Devil Winter Classic, Bruin Wave Invitational and Clover Cup in consecutive starts. Her combination of individual victories, low scoring and international experience earned her two All-America selections.
Grant left Arizona State in 2021 to pursue professional golf, but her college résumé remains an important part of the player she became: technically polished, accustomed to elite competition and prepared to win quickly.

How Linn Grant Made DP World Tour History
The Scandinavian Mixed placed 78 women and 78 men in one competition, playing from different tees for the same trophy and prize fund. In 2022, Grant closed with an 8-under 64 at Halmstad Golf Club to finish 24 under par.
She won by nine strokes over Henrik Stenson and Marc Warren and finished 14 shots ahead of the next woman. The victory made Grant the first woman to win an official event on the DP World Tour.
Two years later, Grant began the final round of the 2024 Scandinavian Mixed 11 strokes behind Sebastian Söderberg. She shot 65, watched the lead come back toward her and won by one stroke over Söderberg and Calum Hill.
The 11-shot comeback was the largest final-round deficit overcome by a winner in DP World Tour history and made Grant the first woman to win twice on the tour.
Linn Grant’s Professional Career
Grant turned professional in August 2021 and won the Terre Blanche Ladies Open in October. Her 2022 season accelerated dramatically with victories in South Africa and four wins on the Ladies European Tour.
She finished 2022 as the LET’s Race to Costa del Sol winner, Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Grant was also named Swedish Golfer of the Year.
Grant earned her first LPGA Tour victory at the 2023 Dana Open. She finished at 21 under par and defeated reigning U.S. Women’s Open champion Allisen Corpuz by three strokes.
Her second LPGA title came at the 2025 ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. A final-round 65 took Grant to 19 under and produced another three-shot victory, this time over Jennifer Kupcho.
