Testing a new L.A.B. Golf Oz putter against his DF3 — undecided as of this video, and his golf ball has never been named on camera

Three Things That Stand Out

What Makes This Bag Different

Two iron brands, one set
His 4- and 5-iron are Callaway Apex Pro, while 6-iron through pitching wedge are Mizuno Pro 221 — a real blended setup, not a full matched set.
His putter has real competition
The L.A.B. Golf DF3 has been his gamer for a long time, but a new L.A.B. Golf Oz model had just arrived as of this video — untested, undecided, genuinely TBD.
A bag with his own brand on it
His Vessel Player 5 carries an Always Press logo and the “Iron Brew” colorway — his personal apparel brand, built into the equipment itself.

Ben Hadden’s Documented 2025 WITB

Driver

Driver

The driver behind his current setup: a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond at 8 degrees, paired with a True Temper HZRDUS T1100 6.5 shaft — 70 grams, 2.2 degrees of torque, and stiff enough that Hadden describes it on camera as “heavy” and “a mean shaft.” He also carries a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke mini driver at 11.5 degrees, 340cc, which he uses off both the tee and the deck.

Should Your Driver Match His Setup?

Not automatically — a 70-gram, extra-stiff shaft is built around his own swing speed and tempo, not a starting point for most golfers.

Irons

Irons

The set he’s actively building, one gap at a time: Hadden started with a blade 4-iron before adding a Callaway Apex Pro 4-iron to close the distance gap to his 2-iron, then a 5-iron to fill the gap that created. He’s kept Mizuno Pro 221s — which he describes as “basically straight blades” — from 6-iron through pitching wedge, after trying Callaway irons in that range and finding he couldn’t get the spin rates where he wanted them.

All the iron shafts are Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100, on a midsize Golf Pride Z-Grip — a consistent feel across two different iron brands.

Would a Blended Setup Fit You?

Mixing iron models by distance gap, rather than playing one matched set start to finish, is a real tour-level approach — but it depends on knowing your own gapping first.

Wedges

Wedges

Three Callaway Opus wedges round out the set: a 50-degree (bent down from a 52-degree head, S grind, X100 shaft), a 54-degree (S grind, X100), and a 58-degree lob wedge on a 6T grind with a softer S400 shaft — a deliberate choice for the club he uses most inside 50 yards, where he wants a little extra feel over raw stiffness.

Putter

Putter

His long-time gamer is the L.A.B. Golf DF3. As of his 2025 WITB video, a new L.A.B. Golf Oz model had just arrived — he calls it “TBD,” untested against the DF3 he’s trusted for years. This page will update once he’s actually made the switch, if he does.

Golf Ball

What Golf Ball Does Ben Hadden Play?

Unconfirmed — not stated by him. Hadden never names a golf ball brand or model in his 2025 WITB video.
